Chailey Parish Magazine mentions George Kenward only briefly and then as "G Kenward".  He appears for the first time in October 1918 as Pte G Kenward of the RAF and this information is then repeated monthly up to and including the final published roll in July 1919.

‘Private’ is not a Royal Air Force rank and it is possible that this man was a cadet or in any event, quite young.

John Kenward of Chailey also served during the First World War and it is possible that George Kenward is related to him.  The birth of a William George Kenward was registered at Lewes in the March quarter of 1902 and again this may be one and the same man.
