Reverie
When the golden sun is setting
On that Battlefield field in
The West
Perchance some thoughts will
Come to me, of the place that
I love best
And if by chance I am wounded
and blinded, I might
possibly be
God would be kind, if he’d
let me keep, the Memories
of sweet Chailey.
He shares this
page with 6334 Private John Thomas of the 2nd South Staffordshire Regiment and 88802 Driver George William Deer of The Royal Field Artillery who have also left entries.
