Chailey Parish Magazine notes in April 1916 issue that Edwin Waghorn has attested.  This is the only reference to this man and it has not been possible to date to provide a link between him and Chailey.

 

Census returns list a number of men of that name but without an obvious link to this area of Sussex.  There is a birth registration at Lewes in the March 1867 quarter for an Edwin Waghorn and a christening at Newhaven on 26^th February 1867 and it is possible that this is the same man although at this point in time this cannot be proven.
