The C N Short noted in Chailey's parish magazine Christopher Nathan Short whose birth was registered in the June 1889 quarter at Thakeham, Sussex.

 

The parish magazine first notes him in February 1916, recording simply, Short, CN, RN.  The following month it adds a little further detail with, Short, Dvr C N, Div Train, RN and follows this up in April 1916 with the information that he has been invalided.

 

In November 1916 the magazine reports that he has been invalided and discharged and he appears for the last time in this publication in March 1917.

 

Christopher Short was related through marriage to Charles Bristow, having married Charles's sister Elizabeth.  His wife's cousins, Charles and Erle Bristow, also appear on this website.
